Upon entering the salon, I was warmly welcomed by Elle at the front desk in the bright, vibrant salon space. The decor is chic and Insta-worthy, with blush pink accents contrasted with funky pop art on the walls. The sleek marble countertops and gold finishes give the salon an undeniable air of sophistication. The Duck & Dry team helped me choose what cocktail, prosecco or alcohol-free drink, to sip on while getting my hair washed and styled.
The Duck & Dry Experience
The salon follows a unique system, as you have a dedicated stylist who does your wash, blow-dry, and style all in one. The system not only saves time but ensures that your hair is being treated and styled by one professional stylist rather than multiple people. The staff were knowledgeable and approachable, with Elle, my lovely stylist taking the time to understand my hair concerns before giving expert advice on which style to choose. She demonstrated creativity and skill in creating a sleek, chic blow-out that lasted all evening.
While my blow-dry experience provided a great experience, the overall atmosphere of the salon was what elevated Duck & Dry above the rest. The King Road’s venue has ample space and is designed so aesthetically, allowing you to spend time browsing through magazines while sipping on a cocktail. During my visit, several girls had booked in their appointments as groups of friends having a girl’s-day-out, and getting pampered before beginning their evening plans. It felt as though we were all young, vibrant, and full of excitement, in our self-pampering haven with an awesome playlist, cheerful and friendly staff, drinks to hand, and an energy of relaxation and fun.

The stylists are incredibly talented and provide excellent service. The stylists have a friendly and bubbly attitude and are always ready to help and make recommendations. The exceptional customer service sets the salon apart from many others I’ve visited.
