DOHA
Set in the Arabian Gulf, the Four Seasons Hotel presents you with a enchanted view, stretching far and wide across the Qatar city's skyline, yet provides you with an Arabian sanctuary along the private beachfront. This hotel also boasts its very own resident Nobu Restaurant.
Luxury in the heart of Doha
The Four Seasons Hotel in Doha is a new renovation bringing the luxurious hotel to the heart of Doha, Qatar.
Whether you are passing through Qatar on the way to the Maldives, Seychelles, or out to the Far East, or simply intrigued to soak in the beauty of the Qatari coastline and savour its culture, then there is one hotel you must choose for your stay.
Luxury and hospitality are cornerstones of the Middle Eastern culture, so much so, that when you arrive in a foreign Arab city and step into the hotel lobby, it will almost uncannily, feel like you entering a palace. Add in the Four Season’s panache for bringing a real sense calmness to every one of their hotels, and you will feel more at home than just a guest.
On a global scale, the Four Seasons never fail to cement their hallmark for perfection and refined luxury no matter the location or local culture. It is no wonder that the newly refurbished hotel in Doha was redesigned by world-renowned Pierre-Yves Rochon, and no corners were spared. To top that, Four Season Doha has recently been recognised as the Arab region’s “Leading City Hotel” by The World Travel Awards, rivalling even it’s neighbouring cousins in the UAE.
Urban Living Meets Beachfront Luxury
Upon arrival from London, flying with Qatar Airways, we were welcomed by the Hotel’s Night Manager, Mahir Demirbag. Mr Demirbag welcomed us with an early check in (he could probably see the eye bags despite our luxury beds in Business Class). Once he personally escorted us to our room, he watched us as our jaws dropped.
The Executive Sea View Suite, even in the middle of the night, welcomes you to a stunning, glistening sea view. Fresh and earthy colours, tasteful, thoughtful interior design, ample space and multiple sources of light and sea versus city views cement the suites as a perfect choice for a restful stay.
The redesigned rooms follow a soothing spectrum of blues and beiges reflecting the colours of Doha’s horizon, where the sky, sea, sand and earth come together. Juxtaposed against the man-made world beyond, the new rooms impart a sophisticated residential feeling.
The elevated sense of classical and contemporary design extends beyond the rooms; a beautiful blend of Middle Eastern and Asian influences extend themselves to the public lounges, tea rooms and restaurants. In fact there is just so many lounges to relax and unwind with some Arabic coffee, fresh juices, or English teas, both indoor and outdoors.
Seasons Tea Lounge was perhaps my favourite space in the hotel; you instantly enter a world of neo-classical European influence, with an atrium-style winter garden which brings the outdoors inside.
Whether visiting for meetings, breakfast, brunch or late evening drinks and dining, everything from the ambient views, lighting and floral design, to the hospitality and quality of offering will entice you to visit and revisit this unbeatable lounge.
Beachfront Heaven
The hotel’s beach is serene and simple, accommodating all guests’ needs with helpful staff always nearby. The sense of calm and privacy encompasses you as staff provide you water bottles and coolers while you enjoy the beach, as well as complimentary snacks. Guests are respectful of one another, liberty and privacy is afforded, whether reclining on the beach front or by the hotel’s scenic, wide-spanning pools with waterfall instalments.
As with much of the appeal of Middle Eastern cities, summer never really has to end. With the Four Season’s new pool & beach offering you can enjoy a three month pool & beach membership as visitors to the hotel, even if you are not staying with them. The hotel also boasts hydrotherapy facilities with a massaging pool with underwater jets and overhead fountains, as well as cold and hot plunge pools. The world-class spa also offers a deep variety of massages, treatments and immersive health-treatments to revitalise and refresh. From steam rooms, hydrotherapy rooms, ice-rooms and colour-therapy rooms, as well as male and female-centric rooms and treatments and memberships; the spa offering at the Four Seasons Doha is a haven of its own, and well worth a visit and exploration into your wellbeing and rejuvenation.
Boasting the world's largest
NOBU Restaurant
For me, the show-stopping must-visit part of my brief stay at the Four Seasons Doha, is the world’s largest NOBU Restaurant, that sits in prime visibility across the water from the hotel, overlooking the Corniche and City’s skyline. NOBU is a must visit, and will surely evoke all the magic of a destination like Doha.
With dramatic views of the Arabian Gulf, whether visting their rooftop bar, terrace, or glistening in-door restaurant with an open-plan kitchen where the magic occurs, Nobu continues to cement itself as the staple in all minds of a memorable experience. We sampled Nobu classics, as well as what they refer to as “Now” dishes, created by in-house Chef, Chef Jephte Tagod, including melt-in-the-mouth salmon sashimi with apple, crab and lobster taquitos, and A7 Australian Wagyu beef, flambeed ishiyaki style directly at your table. Both the flavours and experience are second to none. Nobu has no equal, and certainly not in Doha. The Four Seasons hotel will provide a private car to take you to and from your dinner reservation across the water, whilst staying with them.
Whilst the reasons that will lead you to the Four Seasons Doha are many; what will keep you there and entice you to return, is the one of a kind hospitality, world-class service, and unequivocal luxury – the sense of home, the sense of peace, and sense of oneness.
Is that not what we are all in search of, in this day and age?
