The rooms vary from Premier Rooms spanning up to an incredible 62 sqm, with garden, palm or ocean views, all the way to one of my favourite categories, the one bedroom jacuzzi suites, at an incredible 162sqm, with stunning terraces equipped with their own whirlpools. The luxury room categories do not end there with the Presidential and Royal suites boasting breathtaking views, separate dressing rooms, lounge areas, sunbed-lined terraces, and over 300sqm of space. Raffles the Palm hosts one of the most undoubtedly generous floor plans for it’s rooms ensuring space and comfort are at the centre of every stay.
Dining at Raffles
The hotel boasts six incredible dining options to rival most establishments in Dubai’s raving food-scene. The stunning Blüthner Hall, distinguished by the Blüthner Louis XIV Grand Piano offers a majestic atmosphere for it’s wildly popular Afternoon Tea amongst residents of the hotel, and visitors from the city.
Le Jardin, is the hotel’s main all-day restaurant offering sumptuous Italian Cuisine and lunch and dinner buffets of artistry, with inspiration from the Meditteranean to the Middle East, and an al fresco terrace overlooking gardens in bloom. Enjoy the regal ambience with Italian furniture handmade by atelier Francesco Molon. The extensive daily buffets also boast theatrical live food cooking stations on the terrace, where you can also enjoy light snacks, shisha and cocktails, in between dining times.
Whilst I always endeavour not to have ‘favourites’ – it is hard not to claim Piatti by the Beach as anyone’s top dining destination whilst staying at Raffles. The artistically designed, floral restaurant not only instantly transforms you to the Amalfi Coast by design and artefacts, but also through the charm of it’s hosts, ambience and music, overlooking the beach, and serving the best of authentic Italian cuisine. The restaurant is packed both by lunch time for those coveted ‘summer beach restaurant’ vibes, and by dinner for it’s romantic, ambient setting.
Matagi is the in-house Asia dining option, with authentic contemporary Japanese cuisine in an enchanting, intimate venue. Served in a theatrical contemporary Japanese atmosphere, Matagi is the prime destination in Dubai for lovers of modern Japanese cuisine. Select from the a la carte and weekend brunch menus featuring delicious specialities such as Alaskan King Crab Crispy Tacos and Yuzu Scallops with Seaweed & Finger Lime.
