Eating out can be the ultimate treat, especially in London, where you are spoilt for choices in the gastronomical capital of the world!
If you love sushi as much as we do, then Sushi Samba is a must-visit. Valentine’s Day or not, you cannot be in London and miss out on the beauty and elegance of Sushi Samba’s menu, whether at the Covent Garden or their original restaurant in Heron Tower, in the City of London. And coming up between 16 – 19 February is the infamous Carnaval celebration, with all the Samba sway served alongside the sushi!
Sushi Samba is a perfect fusion of three culinary experiences, Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian. From Japanese tempura and sushi, to Brazilian churrasco and moqueca, to Peruvian anticuchos and seviches, the culinary creativity is limitless with something for every palate.
And this February, get ready to experience Brazil’s most extravagant party at Sushi Samba. It’s going to be the ultimate expression of music, dance and Carnaval-inspired gastronomy. Enjoy live performances nightly, including hip-swaying samba dancers, booming batucada drummers and DJs spinning Brazilian grooves, complemented by Carnaval-inspired menu specials and refreshing caipirinhas. The Menu offers up everything from classic gyoza to Samba rolls of tuna belly and snow crab, Japanese Wagyu Ishiyaki and stunning sushi rolls. The Ceviche options, play samba to your taste-buds, and respectively compliment every play on traditional sushi.
We can’t wait for the festivities on Saturday 18 February, when Sushi Samba will be hosting the colorful Baile da Arara costume party, encouraging guests to dress up and release their inhibitions, carnaval style. There will also be the Bossa Nova Brunch on Sunday 19 February for those who prefer something more laid back.
Sumosan Twiga in West London’s luxurious Knightsbridge neighbourhood, specifically on Sloane Street, brings the much loved Sumosan brand in partnership with Flavio Briatore to create an Japanese-Italian fusion, where you can enjoy both the Japanese and Italian menu side by side.
From the a la carte menu, we highly recommend the Wagyu Tacos, Tuna Tartare, Albemarle and Buba sushi maki rolls and Black Cod, alongside the Truffle & Burrata Ravioli, Veal Milanese, and the Burrata Salad from the Italian menu.
On 12th and 14th February, Sumosan Twiga invites guests to celebrate Valentine’s with an elegant and seductive evening featuring the Les Folies de L’Amour menu especially created for each evening by Chef Alessandro Scala. Two sittings on both days will be available 6:30pm and 9:30pm, starting from £120pp. Both nights will feature live music, dancers, and theatrical performances to bring you the best entertainment for you and your loved one or friends.
For those looking to celebrate from the comfort of their home, then Sumosan Twiga has curated a romantic meal for two. Priced at £220 for two people, the Valentine’s Day At Home menu will include some of the best dishes from Sumosan Twiga’s kitchen and will available to pre-order from Supper and Yolk from the 9th of February.
Sette is London’s newest restaurant from New York City’s Scarpetta restaurant family; bringing authentic Italian food from the heart of Manhattan with its own inimitable flair. Indulge this Valentine’s in the true Italian tradition of ‘fare la Scarpetta,’ that is to indulge in a meal down to the very last taste.
Sette for Valentine’s will impress your date, as well as leave you salivating for more Italian goodness and freshness from truffles galore to pastas and carne.
There is a massive wine fridge at one end of the restaurant, which is beautifully designed with smooth wooden floors, comfy leather seats, lots of mirrors, and modern light boxes. Not to mention Sette is located within the lavish Bulgari Hotel.

When Hashtag Life visited Hyatt Regency The Churchill back in Autumn 2021, we were blown away by the hospitality, gastronomy, and chic relaxation on offer.

For Valentine’s Day, Churchill is offering a gastronomical journey at The Montagu Kitchen, with a special menu created by Executive Head Chef Roger Olsson and his wonderful team. Having tried Chef Olsson’s British menu, we can whole-heartedly say we trust in his latest creation. Executive Chef Olsson will take you through the different chapters of his modern British menu, based on seasonal ingredients and placing its main focus on quality and sustainability. The Valentine’s Tasting Menu is priced at £220 for two people and includes a glass of Moet & Chandon Rose on arrival, and three glasses of wine chosen by our Sommelier during dinner.
There is also The Churchill Bar & Terrace, a must-visit for every guest, and for Valentine’s you must try the special cocktail “Madame Butterfly” created by Head Bartender, Christian Maspes, a fragrant, fruity and seasonal cocktail, inspired by the Vesper martini. The garnish is a sugar butterfly.

THE LONDONER, LEICESTER SQUARE
